Love

I love you, not only for what you are, but for what I am when I'm with you, not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that you bring out; I love you for putting your hand into my heaped-up heart and passing over all the foolish, weak things that you can't help dimly seeing there, and for drawing out into the light all the beautiful belongings that no one else had looked quite far enough to find. I love you because you are helping me to make of the lumber of my life not a tavern but a temple; out of the works of my every day not a reproach but a song.

Sunday, March 28

"Encouraged by the haunting sounds of the man in the moon on his guitar, the beautiful gypsy moth beats her wings to the rhythm of flamenco. Her partner takes her in his arms and moves in time to the beat of their gypsy rhythm."

Thursday, March 25

I wish I could show you when you are lonely or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being.
Everything will be okay.

Wednesday, March 24

My fingers are so incredibly tiny O_o. Grandmother's genes.
After 5 weeks of waiting, it finally fits ^_^.
It feels kind of strange. Like when you put retainers on for the first time and its unbearably uncomfortable. After a day or two it should feel fine.

I'm so goddamn happy. I could go outside right now and scream :D

The Almost Moon

- The moon is whole all the time, but we can't always see it. What we see is an almost moon or a not -quite moon. The rest is hiding just out of view, but there's only one moon, so we follow it in the sky. We plan our lives based on its rhythms and tides.
-Just as we were stuck with the moon, so too we were stuck with my mother. Wherever I'd travel, there she'd be.
-The idea that my mother was eternal like the moon. ... Dead or alive, a mother or the lack of a mother shaped one’s whole life.
